Eurostar + Travelski Night Express

You can combine a Eurostar to Paris with a Travelski Night train to reach the Tarentaise region of the French Alps.

Combining a Eurostar to Paris (or Brussels) with the Travelski Night Express sleeper train means you can enjoy an overnight journey to the French Alps and two extra days skiing as part of your holiday.

In its first season (winter 2025-26) the Travelski Night Express ran from Paris to Bourg-Saint-Maurice.

But for winter 2026–27, the Travelski Night Express will run a second route too: Brussels to Bourg-Saint-Maurice.

UK-based travellers now have two routes to choose, therefore: via Paris or via Brussels.

The Travelski Night Express service is a charter by the French tour operator Travelski, owned by Compagnie des Alps, the French ski lift company.

The Travelski Night Express runs outbound from Paris Gare de Lyon and from Brussels on Friday nights, arriving the following morning in Bourg-Saint-Maurice. Then it departs the following Saturday evening, returning skiers to Paris Gare de Lyon and Brussels on Sunday mornings.  The Brussels route actually begins in Amsterdam (not accessible via Eurostar), and ends there on its return journey too.

The first outbound Travelski Night Express will depart on Friday, 18th December 2026.
The last outbound Travelski Night Express will depart on Friday, 26th March 2027.

The first inbound Travelski Night Express will depart on Saturday, 19th December 2026.
The last inbound Travelski Night Express will depart on Saturday, 27th March 2027.

Currently, the Eurostar and the Travelski Night Express have to be booked separately because Travelski doesn't offer a combined 'Eurostar + Travelski Night Express' ticket.

Rail-inclusive package - or train only

The Travelski Night Express can be booked in two ways:

a) as train-ticket-only – and you book whatever accommodation you like, separately (see current prices in the guide on SnowCarbon)

b) as a combined train + accommodation or train + accommodation + ski pass package from Travelski (limited to the accommodation that Travelski offers)

Whether you choose ticket only or a package, you'll need to book the Eurostar legs separately.

This is a very significant development. It means that you can travel with a combination of Eurostar to Paris and the Travelski Night Express to the Alps (these two trains booked separately), and choose whatever accommodation you want in-resort.

What's on board the Travelski Night Express?

The TNE has space for 660 skiers in total on the Paris-Bourg-Saint-Maurice route, and over 400 seats on the Amsterdam-Brussels-Bourg-Saint-Maurice route. Like most sleeper trains, each couchette (sleeper compartment) has six berths (flat beds). You can share couchettes with skiers you don’t know, or you can book a couchette privately (paying for all six berths yourself, however many people you are). That way, if there are four or five of you and you want to pay more for privacy and extra space, you can do so. There is no first-class accommodation on board.

The TNE also has a bar-restaurant carriage, serving drinks and a selection of hot and cold food for dinner and breakfast. As Travelski hasn’t published its winter 2026–27 menu yet, your options remain a mystery for the time being (of course, you can bring your own food and drink onboard in any case).

Ski and snowboard carriage

Travelski’s website (translated from French) says:

“Although there is no carriage specifically dedicated to ski equipment, there is a suitable space under the lower berths in each cabin for your skis and snowboards.”

How much do Travelski Night Express tickets cost?

If you book a train ticket only, and not Travelski's all-inclusive package with accommodation, ski pass, etc., how much will it cost?

On 22nd April 2026, we checked the Travelski website to see how much one-way tickets cost on any given outbound date for one adult sharing a six-berth couchette, travelling from Paris to Moûtiers, Aime-la-Plagne or Bourg-Saint-Maurice. The table below shows our results. However, prices will increase gradually, closer to the date of travel, as the fares are managed by the Travelski team. Early bookers are rewarded with lower prices.

The prices below are for single (one-way) fares. A return is simply double the single fare. Children aged 13 and above pay the same price as an adult. Children under three travel for free (without their own berth).

Date Adult Child (age 3–12)
18 Dec 2026 € 115 € 81
25 Dec 2026 € 115 € 81
01 Jan 2027 € 99 € 68
09 Jan 2027 € 99 € 68
15 Jan 2027 € 105 € 73
22 Jan 2027 € 110 € 77
29 Jan 2027 € 110 € 77
05 Feb 2027 € 125 € 87
12 Feb 2027 € 125 € 87
19 Feb 2027 € 115 € 81
26 Feb 2026 € 115 € 81
06 Mar 2026 € 105 € 73
12 Mar 2026 € 105 € 73
20 Mar 2026 € 99 € 68
27 Mar 2026 € 99 € 68

Prices will increase incrementally in due course. So in general, the earlier you book, the cheaper the prices.

Travelski Night Express transfers

If you book a package with the Travelski Night Express, then a transfer will be included between the railway station and your accommodation.

Transfers are by coach or taxi (probably depending on how many travellers there are per destination).  Transfers take between 20 and 60 minutes, depending on which resort village you are travelling to.

If you've booked a train ticket only, then you'll need to book your transfer independently.

Using the Travelski Night Express website

This is the link to the Travelski Night Express website: https://www.travelski.com/travelski-night-express

Something to know that will save you frustration: the Travelski Night Express website is in French only. There is a little English flag button, but if you press that button, you will not get the information you need in English. Instead, you'll be transported to the UK version of the Travelski website: https://www.uk.travelski.com.

The UK Travelski website doesn't contain any information about the Travelski Night Express.

We hope that in future, Travelski translates its Travelski Night Express information into English too.
