Easter trains on sale already

Thank you to skier Alice, who spotted that Easter trains were already on sale for Easter. 

SNCF had told me and announced publicly that trains for April 2026 would go on sale on 28th January. 

But they are on sale already. 

That means that you can book Eurostar + TGV journeys to a range of destinations for April dates. 

Here are a few prices that I found: 

London to Cluses/Sallanches/St Gervais return
Out: Sat 4th April 2026
Back: Sat 11th April 2026
Return price per adult: £437

London to Grenoble return
Out: Sat 4th April 2026
Back: Sat 11th April 2026
Return price per adult: £369

London to Bourg-Saint-Maurice return
(same for Moutiers/Aime-la-Plagne/Landry)
Out: Sat 4th April 2026
Back: Sat 11th April 2026
Return price per adult: £479

My suspicion is that not all the trains have been released. Because on the Paris - Bourg on 4th April there seem to be no direct TGVs. At the moment you can only book a TGV from Paris to Lyon, and then a TER (local train) from Lyon to Bourg. That's not usual, so perhaps SNCF hasn't yet put the direct trains on sale. 

On Monday I'll ask SNCF and see what they say, and once I know I'll update this blog.
