Eurostar Ski Train - new timetable

The Eurostar Ski Train opens for booking next week - probably on Tuesday morning.

The timetable is similar to last season, with a few notable changes.

The day train leaves from St Pancras at 09:39, twenty minutes earlier than previously. It reaches the Alps at the same time.

The overnight train now leaves at 20:09, but gets into the Alps about 30 minutes earlier on Saturday morning than it previously did, now arriving at Moutiers at 05:17, Aime at 05:45, and Bourg St Maurice at 06:07. That certainly means you'll get your extra day's skiing in on the day you arrive, but make sure in advance that your accommodation can take you that early and that there is somewhere for you to leave your bags and get changed into your ski gear. You'll certainly be making first tracks!

Eurostar are also continuing their new Swiss Service - which runs in the daytime (it isn't direct - you switch to a TGV Lyria train at Lille).  The timetable is unchanged, but instead of running every week of the season it will run on the following five dates:

21 December returning on 28 December
28 December returning on 4 January
15 February returning on 22 February
22 February returning on 1 March
1 March returning on 8 March

We'll post another blog as soon as the date and exact time that booking opens is 100% confirmed by Eurostar.
